Dirty Dancing (1987)
Budget $6 million
Box office $214 million
Grease (1978)
Budget $6 million
Box office $394.9 million
Both of these grosses are so impressive. Both had at least one #1 hit with a soundtrack that went #1. That would've made them, especially Grease, one of the highest grossing movies of all time until the hyper-inflation began.
Say what?
Janet's shade to Madonna
Mariah's shade to JLO Mariah's shade to Nicki
Mariah's shade to Madonna
Whitney's shade to Mariah
This shade was the best because it was live and Mariah was so quick with it. She was SO quick that Nicki didn't even catch it and was fuming so hard on Twitter when that episode of Idol ended.
This reminds me.. someone said you have grandkids. Is that true?
maybe in 25 years.
I do have an owned home, owned vehicle, 3 degrees, 99k salary career with a 401k, a career at a nationally known federal government agency, a cute lil puppy and the luxury of not working on weekends, off on mondays, teleworking 3 days a week and only required to go into the office on Wednesdays.
Which is hard to get...not everybody has that.
I love me some Mariah in the morning on my way to work though. When Anytime you need a friend, all in your mind, sent from up above or all my life comes on
Whew.
In a trance.
The girls minus two or three in my sig get me through this luxurious lifestyle with anthemic, inspirational, aspirational, motivational, intro/retrospective music.
Well, I would certainly hope that a song which was by the one who made the biggest summer hit last year to go top 10 on iTunes (lol)
TIHTY was not meant for charts, it was a song about a cause and it will win grammy so it kinda wins over Fancy Girls.
Girl gon' so are we trying to use summer hits of yesteryear as an excuse when most of the one hit wonders in billboard hot 100 charting stem from summer hits.
THAT''s your best argument. Focus on watching a show that your fave convincingly plays a monstrous character for praise while her main talent is displayed on a single that couldn't even reach top 20 on itunes for 3 seconds.

IDGI? Aretha is the queen of soul and her music was truly impactful

This is so weird because I'm just watching Olivia's Oscar performance
Literally the most iconic musical ever
Grease is legendary and Olivia's vocal range is severely underrated.
others better pay respect to legends or I'm ready to split, shift and snatch 99c wigs and store some knowledge to their domes.
This is what me and Cupid were just watching. Apparently, she was deathly sick with hepatitis A from bad shellfish during this performance. She collapsed after leaving the stage and had to go to the hospital.
