Pop/Duo isn't exclusive to pop songs or being played on Top40. Many jazz songs have won it. Ray Charles won it years ago, with Norah Jones. Brian McKnight submitted a random track off his 2001 album ft Justin Timberlake and got nominated. Not even a single (plus before JT broke from NSYNC and solidified his own urban following).

It doesn't hurt to submit it, even if chances are slim. Especially recent years the category has mirrored the noms of shows like VMAs, etc.
