I wonder how the show would fair if you completely removed Lady Gaga's storyline. Would this season lackluster or do you think it would still deliver? Because Jessica planned to leave, she still would be gone, I think we'd feel a massive hole in the show, and I honestly don't know if ratings would still be high. Correct me if I'm wrong.

The story with Mr. March is already intriguing enough. It's in the pattern of all the series killers of past season. Bloody Face most prominently.
Then we have Sally who gives Fiona vibes most of the time. And I do see a little Hayden in her.
Some creepy Addiction Demon who serves Rubber Man from Season 1.

So even if the Countess wouldn't be present it would still do considerably well. The vampires just add a new element to the series. Even without them I don't see how the show would suddenly flop. There's something about Mr. March that is very Asylum. And as we know it's very much connected to Murder House.

But who cares about ratings anyway?

I don't care about ratings. Just a fun concept.

I think if they played on this was going to have a huge major connection to Murder House, and really made that the forefront of the series, then I think it would still do reasonably well, but without Gaga I don't see where they would have pushed promotion, and major intrigue after Freak Show. And I could see the premiere only having like 4.7 and the 2nd episode dropping to like 3.3

But I guess if Gaga's scenes weren't there technically the first and 2nd episode could've just been 40 minutes like normal, and had Evan's scene in the first episode, and Angela arrive in the 2nd. Something like that.

I'm hoping for werewolves next season. But I don't want these tacky CGI animations. And I don't want the actors to fully transform into wolves. To me a werewolf is half man, half wolf.

I'd cast Wes Bentley asap. He has those WW features.

Remember when Wes checked into the Hotel and Iris was like... WOOF! A hint probably or I'm just seeing one of million other possibilities.

Other WWs I'd cast would be Denis O'Hare & Dylan McDermott. As for the actresses I don't know if there should be a female werewolf though I like 'Ginger Snaps' but it's so unreal and the wolf is such a manly animal.

Werewolves just need to be present in an American Horror Story. Agree?

I feel like the promotion would have been scattered if it wasn't for Gaga. And by scattered I just mean that there would have not been a central focus on one character.

I want a full on political thriller involving Area 51, alien conspiracy, abductions and aliens shapeshifting. I think that'd be great. A great plot line could be that an alien is murdering the main cast but is taking the form of one of the main cast members and no one knows until the end, like a "who dunnit" series.

The show wouldn't be half as interesting as it is now without The Countess (especially if she is indeed Ms. March)

i feel like American Crime Story ruined AHS's chance of ever getting too political, unfortunately :/ but i would LOVE this idea (or something similar)

I think the fact ryan said they will never do aliens because its american horror story not galactic horror story confirms a bit that there is a season about that because it would obviously play in the usa

I think that AHS Hotel would be NOTHING like the Hotel we see now if Gaga wasn't in it. She's the lead, you can't just write a lead off the story If she wasn't in it, I can see Hotel having a different story with Kathy/Angela/Sarah/Evan playing the main roles.

I don't think the season would be THAT different. The Countess isn't as central to the plot like Lana, Fiona or Elsa were, but that's a good thing for this show.
If the Countess/Gaga weren't here, they could easily still get the season to where it is now, but she still adds a lot that I appreciate and wouldn't want to go without.
