I'm such a trap / urban / etc. fan so I'd be very here for some music like this but inb4 everyone hates it
If I could look at any albums Gaga should use as a blueprint for LG5, the two I'd choose are Jagged Little Pill and The Velvet Rope. A mix of rock and R&B touching on real personal and yet relatable topics would be perfect for her, and then throw in a blend of electro-disco ala Confessions on a Dance Floor.

Even though I truly love the song Paper Gangsta, her anger is only expressed in the verse. The chorus even in the final repetition sounds the same. I love it when she changes it up a bit with her growly shouty voice, or altered melodies, like in the live performance of the song.

Applause slays. It just wasn't a very GP friendly video at all. It also is a grower and takes rewatches, and if a casual person doesn't like a video on first watch, it's unlikely they'll seek to watch again of their own accord.
