If you miss a deadline and don't submit, yes. Late entries are always accepted, but with a time penalty. Unless you try to submit something while results are being revealed or something.

Okay so if I understand correctly only the top 30 move on to round 3.

What if everyone scores above like a 7 (unlikely but possible)? The people near the bottom basically have no chance of making it because they're already being dragged down severely. What if everyone near #30 is really close to the same score?

Not trying to be rude btw, I'm just a little confused on how it's gonna work.
