Host commentary: This used to be one of my faves on True Blue, but unlike JJ my love for this one didn't stay when I grew up. The production just overpowers it moreso than any of her other 80s songs. Plus the lyrics are pretty cringe. Still, y'all do it and True Blue too much.
Love Makes The World Go Round guest commentary
Mr. Fahrenheit - Madge ha social conscience clearly hadn't developed fully at this early stage, I like to justify its existence as a parody of the "We Are The World"/Band Aid-type songs at the time
Subomie- Actually kinda alright? Just ignore the lyrics.
Eeveelution - Nightmare inducing, they probably play this on the seventh circle of hell. Those awful over-happy synths in the chorus and then there's that outro.. If this song was a person I'd punch it in the face.
Quicksand – This doesn’t deserve all of the hate that it receives. It’s super corny, but it’s so cute

I'm living for this commentary. I hope it gets messier.
Host commentary: I think this is the moment on the I'm Breathless album that works the worst. That being said I liked it better with repeat listens. It goes back and forth from being funny and annoying to me. It kind of reminds me of Annie's solo from the Community episode mocking Glee.
Cry Baby guest commentary
Reinvention - Hope I never hear this again! Hate this style of music, hate the lyrics, detest her voice, it’s just awful! Wonder if Madonna was thinking of this when she wrote “B’Day Song”?
eli’s_rhythm - for what it is, would use again
So glad to see this FILTH vanished from the rate. I'll never forgive ya'll for doing "Spanish Lesson" like you did. An incredible and timeless bop.
Host commentary: Like A Virgin, despite being her most commercially successful studio album, is really underrated amongst her fans. This was the Madge album played the most in my house as a kid. Shoo-Bee-Doo is a sweet slice of schmaltzy 80s pop. I think I enjoy it and LAV because the album and this song give me era nostalgia (even though I was born in '95 ) and transport me to a movie version of an 80s prom. The song's only crime in my eyes is slightly pedestrian lyrics and being about a minute longer than it needs to be.
Shoo Bee Doo guest commentary
Kyle-x -Simple, sweet, fluffy 80s pop perfection. One of her strongest album tracks of this period. Come here baby... wait - is that a sax solo?
Mr. Fahrenheit - This has grown on me slightly, would have been the 0 a couple years back.
Subomie - It's kinda ****, not gonna try defend this one.
