Ryan recently said he has to know what the next season is by October 7th. So I believe the writers are probably already going at it. I'm really hoping for something like The Village so bad! And I'd love for Gaga to appear in something like that.
They could all wear old-fashioned/medieval type clothing. Have some children in it, maybe the child killer wears a mask, so they can't figure out who it is, they all believe it to be one child, they put him on trial, almost execute him. Hiding underneath houses, it would be brilliant. They could deal with sickness.
They could also do like a secluded cabin in the woods,
American Horror Story: The Cabin (could be snow)
American Horror Story: Woodlands/The Woods
American Horror Story: Tribe (could be on a tropical island)
They could do like a backpacking road-trip, out in the desert.
American Horror Story: Deserted? Awful title, but you get the gist.
Something set in a Western type town
Set in a whole town
with it's own personal church, like a deserted town, abandoned, kind of like the house of wax. But somehow they get trapped in this town, they need to be there, and cannot leave.
Something very simple along the lines of Hide and Seek
a psychological horror.
Set in a secluded house
a farm, with the introduction of kids this season, they could play bigger parts in future seasons, and we watch them grow, but something like children of the corn.
The possibilities are endless. They just have to execute the ideas correctly. And if they fail, the show reboots anyway aka Freak Show, and Hotel being a massive improvement. Assuming the next season follows suit and is past time all of these ideas are possible
And I think I understand what Ryan meant by possibly having 2 seasons a year, I don't think every season needs to be so larger then life, that all these great ideas get shoved into one season, I think they can take one strong idea and run with it the whole season, maybe less then 13 episodes, and make a psychological thriller. Even just using a smaller section of the cast. Not needing so many characters, and maybe known faces can just come in to play much smaller roles. but have the focus on like 4 characters.
