Ya'll leave Body Heat alone
---
After doing some research, here's my interpretation of Revival:
Revival- The story in this album begins with Selena going over what's she's been through the past 2 years and what she's learn "What I've learn, it's so vital, more than just, Survival this is my Revival/I admit it's been painful, painful, but I'll be honest, I'm grateful, grateful"
Kill Em With Kindness- After all the bull**** Selena has gone through with the media and her very public relationship, she realizes that there's no way to fight back offensively and win, so she has to kill them with kindness, by proving the media wrong and rising above.
Hands To Myself- Recalls her relationship, the honeymoon stage if you will. The passion at the beginning of every relationship.
Same Old Love- Selena realized that her partner has screwed up one too many times and she's had enough.
Sober- This song is about those times where they kept breaking up and getting back together. Selena knows he's bad for her, but her love for him is too much.
Good For You- The song begins with Selena breathing heavily and I like to think that this is Selena finally "waking up" and breaking free from that toxic relationship and finally realizing her self worth and that she deserves better.
Camouflage- The guy tries to get Selena back, but Selena is done with him. She will always have feelings for him, but it's too late to try and fix things and she has to move on...
Me & The Rhythm- After actually going ahead and making it official that she has finally moved on, she finally feels free "Ooh, I start to feel it now, Feeling like I'm truly free, I'm free in me"
Survivors- This song is for both her fans and herself. She's grateful that her fans have been with her through the worst, from her lupus diagnosis to her public breakup. "and now, what's mine is ours." She wants to share her accomplishments and victories with us.
Body Heat- This is Selena's owning up to her sexuality. Body Heat isn't talking about the guy from her previous relationship. I can see why people would think that, but the way the setlist is organized, this song is most likely talking about several guys. This is her "hooking up" anthem. She's celebrating her freedom.
Rise- This song is a reflection on what she's been through and where she is at right now. Reminding us to keep our head up because things always get better.
