Yes. OVERRATED. Don't act like ya'll didn't wet yourselves seeing her 2 seconds in the trailer.
I am judging her basing on her performance in AHS. I never once said she's a bad actress. She might've won awards in the past but she's certainly not bringing ANY of that here.
Stop dragging Gaga into EVERY DAMN THING. My ability to differentiate good, bad and horrible has nothing to do with me being a Lady Gaga stan.
Both of them were hyped for different reasons. Chloe (like you said) apparently for being an award winning actress and Gaga as this was her first major acting role. Chloe was just there while Gaga was the center of attention in every scene she was in.
And again, like I said before, I loved her in Asylum and I can't say much because we've only seen the first episode. There are 12 more to go so we'll see whether she lives up to her hype or falls flat.

Is Chloe confirmed as a season regular by the way? I'm positive she's got to have better scenes in the future that are more engaging?

And the fact that the people coming for Chloë act like this is what she's always like. I've never seen her do a really bad job. These people need to watch Big Love, Kids & Shameless.

I think Chloe should've played something more exciting, and maybe it'll lead to that, but she just feels emotionless, and feels a little awkward, Connie would've done that role brilliantly and brought and entirely new emotion and dimension to that character, it's to early to say really, but I am here for Chloe being back, I think that role is just an odd choice for her, she isn't convincing me yet.
That opinion has nothing to do with my love for Lady Gaga etc, etc.. 
I was so excited when I heard Chloe's voice on the phone during the premiere, I was like yaas can't wait to see her, but when she had that scene with Wes at the dinner table, it just felt like she wasn't reaching deep enough as an actor, but the same can be said for Wes, they seem like a very emotionless family for whatever reason. Imagine they brought Sarah Paulson's level of emotion. They feel really stiff, and if they're meant to be the protagonists that we love, well I'm not buying it yet.
It could also be bad writing for their characters, but I want to feel their pain, the loss, the suffering, it's 5 years later, which might be the reason why it isn't really emotional, but even the way she had to say like Wes looks like Holden so she can't look at him, her voice, or something made it feel like a weak portrayal of what was written.

If you meant she did a sub-par job in this role, say THAT. Saying she's overrated implies she's always like this and makes you seem ignorant (and delusional).
Also ironic for you to tell me to stop dragging Gaga into everything when you lead the mission to get rid of me because I tried to do everything I could to make this thread NOT all about Gaga.
But my point remains: Chloë is fantastic, so of course we were hyped for her, and all of you were through the roof with every single frame of Gaga footage we got in every trailer, so don't try it.

I actually kind of felt Wes was really odd in the beginning too. But towards the end of the episode I'm convinced that he'll be doing just fine. I do think it's Chloe's character as well, but we'll see.

Hopefully she serves in the coming episodes, and her material will be better, and she'll up her attachment to the character. I liked how she was speaking to her daughter in the 2010 flashback, although it was brief, it was better then her other scenes.
Also the preview of her shouting Holden at the carnival looks great! I'm still excited to see where this character goes.
I see what you mean Wes toward the end showed real potential.

That is exactly what I did? 
I said she IS overrated HERE. Here as in the AHS HOTEL thread because ya'll were getting so excited over her 2 seconds.
How dare you say that? I wasn't the one whining in HQ and I certainly I wasn't the one reporting multiple posts just because I can't handle opinions. Again, you're not all that. You're NOT that important. I don't have the time or energy to spend getting you banned from this thread. There was never such a mission and it's insane how you just thought I was actually trying to get you banned from this thread

Did this thread actually get messy with the reviews, ratings, premiere? I missed a lot. It seems quite peacefully lately strangely enough. Everybody seems well behaved, and mature? This can't be atrl.

I've been keeping it very cute lately but I'm not about to sit here and watch someone jump on me like that.
Anyway, I haven't seen ep2 trailer and I'm kinda planning to not to watch it. The episode description haz me hyped tho! Can't wait for the couture fashion show
