I don't think it's necessarily a bad thing if you like Katy over Taylor. Katy has a more lighthearted and fun take on pop music, whereas Taylor tends to be a little more serious in her approach. Katy actually does pretty well with organic and genuine material (I'm Still Breathing is still her best song IMO) but it's her fun music that sells. Taylor has an advantage over her in that she has a better grasp on making her more serious material more conventionally saleable whereas Katy tends to fall short and her serious stuff ends up schmaltzy or unconventional for radio.

True. She got it right with The One That Got Away, but songs like Thinking Of You and Unconditionally just weren't it for the GP. She should re-record and re-release Thinking Of You for a greatest hits though.
Also that wow comment before was after listening to the Speak Now songs Jake listed before. I felt like I was experiencing a religious awakening. Last Kiss was my favourite, but I loved them all. (Didn't listen to the Red songs, I already know how I feel about them).
