I still think the addiction demon is just a manifestation of Sally's inner demons. None of its trauma is physical, just mental. It's a ghost like she is imo.

Not sure why it's a stretch
that the hotel is a phantom hotel
?  The strong connections with Murder House make would seem really true. Plus if you believe 1 and 3 are real then they conflict.

What if
Jessica lange appears half way through the season. And it becomes all about her for the rest of the season. Everything we have seen to that point, all the killers, the addiction demon, The Countess. All those horrific things start happening to her while she is staying at the hotel.
She appears as Constance.
She goes through HELL during her stay there, witnessing horrifying things. She suffers, and in the end gets killed by EVERYTHING bad in that hotel. The Countess, the Addiction Demon, Sally, Mr March e.t.c all kill her in the most gruesome and disturbing way.
She wakes up to find out it was all in her mind. Her devil grandchild put her in HELL for everything bad she has done in her life in Murder House. This would be her punishment. Hence, all the Murder House connections.
Concluding, this season would serve as a set up for S6, where we go back to the Devil Child and Constance, who moves her grandchild to a secluded place, where he can't harm the world. There, **** goes down.
What do u guys think?

Everything bad in the hotel could reference something from Constance in Murder House.
Addiction Demon = Rubber Man
Sally = Moira
or sth like that.

Very true, but I think maybe the former glory of the Hotel was the reason for the false advertising. I'm sure we'll see what's up with the hotel. I do think something very twisty will happen mid season.
