Selena will have a different product mix. People are streaming Selena's songs more than Janet's songs. I think we are looking at this all wrong.

Janet's listeners prefer to buy albums. Selena's users prefer to stream albums. These are different approaches. Selena's approach will take longer to count up the result than Janet's. First week numbers don't show the whole picture.

Plus much of Selena's audience has already been streaming and downloading her singles whereas Janet's audience waited until the album came out to buy because none of the singles were particularly connecting at the time.

Simply because of the age we live in and Selena has never done great 1st week. But after that always has longevity, so first week is... just the first week. And she is Number 1. A flop for me would be 40-50K and out of the Top 5.
People just buy singles these days and she is obviously doing MUCH better with the new singles than her previous eras. GFY/SOL SLAYING sales/streaming/radios.

And of course Madonna and Janet would do better than Demi/Selena - they have bigger fan bases, people that actually BUY their music since the start of their careers. Legends. How can you compare them at all, I dont know.

And Selena is Number 1 Worldwide Artist/Album for 3 days, if Im not wrong.
