Overall European cultural influence has been dwindling. They are no longer the innovative, avant-garde peoples they used to be these past 100 or so years.

I got into Zaz's debut album again aftet a while and éblouie par le nuit, je veux, la fée and port coton are still so good, Raphael Haroche is genius!

Yelle is the Sophie Ellis Bextor of France: Semi relevant, very local and only gays know her outside home turf. But very good music and high production value.
