Does anyone else fear as years go by that the cast will subsequently change? What if Evan & Sarah decide to quit AHS at some time? What if either Kathy, Angela, Frances or Jessica unfortunately die as they get older with each year? Who will be big enough to fill out their footsteps? Maybe I'm just expecting the worst and the show will not last more than maybe 8-10 seasons.

8 seasons is impressive anyway. I don't think it's gonna be a problem if they don't leave all at once.
The show can last for like 10 seasons because it's the antology series, there can always be new cast members etc. But in order to keep the show going for next 5 years Ryan needs to constanly work on AHS and try to not to **** it up like FS, otherwise AHS will lose viewers

Part of me thinks Ryan knew 'Scream Queens' was bombing before it even premiered so that's why he put the decision up to do 2 seasons of AHS next year.
Key is to keep the audience excited for the show even after a "loss".
What Ryan did with Gaga was very smart, actually. Obviously he can't do that every year (cast a big star) but you got the idea.
Bring something new, tease it and keep people excited. I was disgusted when Jessica left because I loved her, and I seriously questioned watching season 5 (before it was announced) simply because FS disappointed me. But the Hotel promo was on point, tbh.

He wouldn't even have to add Gaga to the show to excite viewers if he was able to maintain the show's quality on MH/Asylum level. I mean AHS gained so much momentum after Asylum and was really huge during Coven. It's easier not to bore or piss off viewers and fans with the antology series, yet Ryan almost ruined everything
