As for Gaga, it's too early to tell. We don't meet her character until deep into the opener and, of course, "AHS" goes out of its way to present her in a visually stunning manner. You can't take your eyes off her.
But she's given only a few clipped lines to utter. Otherwise, Gaga mainly struts and preens and delivers a lot of vacant stares -- that is, when she's not involved in a bout of group sex that, of course, turns very bloody. It may not be long before fans are pining for the return of Jessica Lange.

So once again, I'm confronted with an "AHS" season that appears to be more gross than engrossing. Alas, I may not be able to check out of the Hotel Cortez, but at least I can change the channel.
Ddd I only use critics for music, I never use them for TV shows or movies so many good movies and tv shows have poor reviews despite actually being good

the blone child in your avi is my favourite kid so far
i would rate first 6/10 first episode, it would have been 8/10 without Wes Bently his acting as a detective or police whatever was the worst, he was pretty much convincing as a father and husband but not as detective and the fact he had the most screen time :/

Unfortunately for the oldest monster Ryan Murphgay, Lad Fad simply can't act. Matt Bomer's ass was the only redeeming part of this unnecessarily long premiere.

I could not care less about Wes's character, he's so boring, but I guess they need to have a ~normal/relatable person for casual viewers to relate to and have some downtime for the messed up **** that's going on in the hotel.
Chloe better be getting way more screen time in future episodes. I'm not here for the Asylum tea the premiere gave.

I think he served as detective and father both at the same time. I could not imagine Evan to play a role like this. Maybe Dylan McDermott but in comparison with Wes I hate Dylan. I couldn't stand him in Murder House. Neither was he likeable in Asylum.
As a protagonist he needs to have more screen time. It makes sense that he would investigate the Hotel and its guests. Otherwise you could still watch the Countess and Donovan having sex with their victims and the story wouldn't move on.

Chloe would make a more relatable person in my opinion i hope Chloe check in hotel as soon as possible
