Thoughts on Hotel's pilot-
I LOVED IT OMG
IDK if it's QUITE Bitchcraft, but that was SO good. I want to wait for hype to die down, but I think my second fav pilot (close to Briarcliff though). LOVE Lady Gaga and Matt Bomer (was totally wrong about him being a Norman Bates clone, there are a few similarities, but they're pretty broad so far), cannot wait to see more of them. Kathy Bates was really good too, and her character seems like she's going to have a lot of layering to her. Very excited to see where they take her. I think everyone wasokay though. I'd say the weakest links were, predictably, Bentley and Sevigny, who are likeable enough protagonists I guess but.. a little on the bland side in comparison to the rest of the cast (so standard Rya Murphy stuff). Honestly. Though to be fair, Ryan has 12 more episodes to make them interesting and there is SOME potential there (Vs. Cordelia who had none)
But yeah, I NEED EP 2 NOW! ANd I NEED more Gaga/Bomer because they are TOTALLY going to be my favs unless Kathy Bates pulls a Sister Jude on us (which she could, as said, I feel like her character is going to have a LOT to her, but it's impossible to call from episode 1)
It's also... really original, actually. I didn't notice it being homage heavy at all. It obviously pulls from some previous genres, but it did them in interesting ways and I'm very curious to see where the plot goes.

Not gonna lie. I was sitting there like HAH Kathy is too fat to catch up, and Gaga popped up outta nowhere like "not today bitch"
