E.T. is honestly in a grey area as far as being remembered goes. It's no longer iconic (as it appeared it would be during the TD era) yet it's far from being entirely forgotten.
Isn't E.T. her second-longest charting song ever in the US? Or is that Roar?

Aren't Tumblr users very obsessive and fanatical by nature + predominately Taylor Swift fans? That makes sense.
They literally just do what other Tumblr users do so they can fit in, while claiming they don't want to fit in and how indie and different they are from the rest of the world.
EDIT: Mainly referring to the SJW-ish types and the stans of like Melanie Martinez.

Nnn she also said that her fourth album could be an acoustic guitar record(Billboard October issue 2013)  I'm kinda sure that If KP4 is as successful as PRISM, KP5 will be an acoustic record(but the era will last for some months). If not, then she will postpone It for KP6..(If there's a KP6 )
