Katy is a great performer. She works hard and she doesn't act nonchalantly about her weaknesses. That's the key to improving.
Only ones who were pressed over her Rock In Rio set were the Monster Army but then again Lad Fad is reduced to performing covers in small theaters so... It's a win win situation.
when your biggest asset is good looks you need a solid team that knows how to compensate for the lack of performance skills, stage presence or dancing skills, by huge stage props and a plethora of back up dancers that's why she's considered a decent performer, take away all of that and give her just a mic and an instrument she's really dull

Lana's pretty good live now. Not amazing but adequate.
I have seen a few live performances by her, she's literally walking ... very slowly and swaying a bit at best
I guess I just appreciate live performances that have more going on
