I'm disappointed by this era. I think that Selena thinks if she doesn't make any up-tempos, and up-beat songs and does ballads and mid-tempos she comes off more 'artistic' and her music is viewed better because it's deep and personal.

I'm probably a minority, but I prefer her upbeat music much much more. She just works better with it. Her ballads and mid-tempos don't really appease me.

That was my first thought as well, but she did say that she has dance songs and i'm pretty sure Me & The Rhythm qualifies as up-tempo? no?
