Damita Jo has some of the best R&B and funkiest songs of her career imo (Slolove, I Want You, Like U Dont Love Me, All Nite, R&B Junkie, Sexhibition, Truly, Island Life). The album should have just been 4 or 5 songs shorter. Warmth and Moist were a BIT much and could have been condensed into one, & Strawberry Bounce and Just a Little While sound completely out of place.. All for You is more pop, but Damita Jo was more R&B (which makes sense because it was 2004 when dance-pop was completely dead)
Yep. "Damita Jo" was an excellent album.
I would shave off those songs you mentioned + Truly.
Even then, 20 Y.O. wipes the floor with Discipline..
However, Janet has never truly had a "bad" album after her JJ/DS.. some have just been better.
Even some songs on JJ/DS slay...I haven't listened to them in years...but 2 songs for sure are "Don't Stand Another Chance" & "Young Love". Love those early Janet songs.
It will still debut at # 1 on Billboard. But we have to keep promoting it and spreading the word so we can get her back to # 1 on Itunes
Erm. Janet has no shows on the tour this week, she can go out to NY go on a few talk shows and do a couple of 5 minute interviews, and maybe if we're lucky a performance

I've never known much of her except for her most famous songs, but last night I listened to some of the songs on this record (Black Eagle, Unbreakable, Burnitup!, Gon' B Alright, No Sleeep, Night, Well Traveled) and I really enjoyed them
