Crazy comments aren't affecting Trump b/c the establishment/press doesn't take him seriously. Jeb's said so much to torpedo his campaign and it surreally keeps getting worse. Rubio's one glaring problem is his lack of $, which I still think will keep him from getting the nomination. Jeb's a god-awful candidate and stiff debater but it won't matter in the end.

Yeah, I remember a lot of similar criticism being thrown at Mitt Romney and yet he still won the primary.

They can also donate to charities over any period of time, they could take 10 years to drain their money if they choose to do so. Obviously they have to pay off the campaign expenses and what is left over they keep for their next campaign. Only people retiring have to deal with this situation.
I believe they can use it to pay legal bills directly relating to their work in office. I am 99% sure Christie did this with Bridgegate.

But what Jeb(!) said was very insensitive...
That'd be akin to Obama saying "stuff happens" during the Sandy Hook tragedy, or any other national tragedy.

The "stuff happens" quote is being taken completely out of context. Really disgusting how the media keeps reporting it that way.

To be fair, not too many ppl know who Bernie Sanders is. Hilary naturally wins the popularity vote because they know her. This might change once Bernie is on a national platform.

A large portion of African-Americans came out and voted for Obama solely because he was Black. Deny it all you want, it's the truth. Not everyone, but a large share.

When is the first Dem debate, and on which channel? The juxtaposition it'll be to the two circuses the Reps gave us

October 13th really can't get here fast enough. It's been like 2+ months since the republicans started their debates and we still haven't had a single democratic one. By the time of the second democratic debate, the republicans will have gotten through FIVE
edit: ^ October 13th, according to wikipedia

"Stuff happens" is not Jeb's "47%".
It's too early in the electoral process and the press hype will move on to the next shiny object by Halloween.

If they happen at this level early next year, I'm with you on that.

Jeb is at 4%. I don't think he has much to lose either way, plus I don't see a rebound in the horizon.
Rubio seems to be on the rise though (?)

He's getting a lot of good press after the debate, and the establishment votes seem to be coalescing around him with Walker leaving and things not looking good for Jeb.

Blacks love the Clintons. Everyone in my family is voting for Hillary, most don't even know why but they're gonna do it regardless. What are her policy positions even?

What an ignorant comment. I probably know more about American politics than 80% of the USA population. In fact, I probably know more about American politics than you.
'Blacks love the Clintons'. Really? You must think you're so clever, but you actually look a little misinformed. Also, what a one-dimensional view of the black community you have. Don't judge the whole black community on your family, , shame on you.

I understand it's not very PC, but it is what it is. Most voters of all races are don't pay attention to politics and vote based on who their community votes for. And the Clintons are held in high regard in the black community (though I would argue the level of support is misguided). I saw a black magazine in 2008 during the election which had "Do Blacks Owe Hilary?" on the cover when Barack started getting popular.

It's true though, blacks by and large, love the Clintons. I remember as a kid my parents always said "Bill was the first black president". You now have 4 Americans telling you this sis, give it up. I'm sure if they did a poll of specifically targeting black people in America right now, Hillary would have >70%, being modest. I'd rather that wasn't the case, but it is what it is

I actually understand your viewpoint. But maybe you should be a little more careful when making blanket statements. Maybe instead of saying 'African Americans this' and 'African Americans that', how about 'the majority of African Americans feel they owe a debt of gratitude to the Clintons and, more specifically, Hilary'. I would agree with that. However, it's not the case that the majority of African Americans will vote blindly for Hilary. I don't think it's appropriate to make African Americans sound like a group of sheep who blow where the wind takes them. Most Americans are elaborately involved with the byzantine intricacies of American politics.

I agree. No need to be unnecessarily rude about it.
