The Republican and Democratic Presidential nominees are engaging in televised public debates this month. Hopefully this incident will mean that the topic of gun control will be addressed, so the US public can see where every potential Presidential candidate stands on this specific issue.

If the status quo is mantained then incidents like this will keep occurring in the US every year.

Dozens of similar threads are posted on 4chan each day. It would be kind of unfair to press charges against those who encouraged him just because this one actually meant it and doing nothing against all the others.

Nope. I do post on 4chan but not that kind of stuff (as you correctly said, you never know when it could be true and better safe than sorry). I did post after the incident happened but certainly not to rejoice about it.

I understand that the Republicans have control of congress due to having a majority meaning it makes it hard for the democrats (namely the POTUS) to get laws passed, right? I know quite a bit about American Politics as I watch American political news stations and shows.

However, like I said, he could do more to campaign against the gun laws within America and actively do more and try harder to get at least some change to the laws. As it stands, he's done literally nothing.
