Ok, after like, my seventh listen I have finally fell in love with this record. It's actually really good. My ranking used to be:
Ultraviolence > Paradise > Born to Die > Honeymoon
but now I totally think Honeymoon is better than Born to Die, and I could see it over taking Paradise. The independence she has on this record is great. God Knows I Tried, Terrence Love You, Salvadore, Freak, Art Deco, HBTB>>>> It really seems like her albums follow a story.
BTD = Unconditional love
Paradise = Denial
Ultraviolence = The break-up/ end
Honeymoon = Rising from the ashes/ independence.
Where can she go from here? I wonder if this is the end of "Lana Del Rey" and she embodies another character in the future. Sort of like an Electra Heart situation.
