The closing track to Teen Dream was the center of a small indie controversy. Does the song in this advert sound a little familiar? For whatever reason, perhaps in the name of ~artistic credibility~ Beach House refused to let Volkswagen use "Take Care" in an advert, so instead they "composed" a song that sounded eerily similar to use in the ad. I'm not sure if the band got a Taylaw Suit involved, but I doubt they were very happy.
Best bit: The huge chorus. Best lyrics: "Stand beside it, we can't hide the way it makes us glow"

I remember the lawsuit! That Beach House VW rivarly got out of control
The euphoric centerpiece of Contra, "Run" was released as the sixth and final single from the album. Ezra Koenig has said that the song was inspired by Bruce Springsteen's "Born to Run", but it appears to take more inspiration from rave music. He also described is as a companion piece to the band's 2013 masterpiece "Hannah Hunt" which also deals with escapism.
Best bit: The little burst of music after each chorus Best lyrics:“Honey with you / And battered radio / We could try”
