Album sales don't matter anymore. Everybody is moving into tours. If you can tour you have a spot in the industry. If you need to join talentless, megalomaniac rappers on gay tours or have half-empty casinos like Lady Gaga and Beyoncé you're out.

LOL I knew Britney fans will bring up her tour. She is Britney Spears, she has a 10 year careeer, lots of money and the strongest fanbase ever, so OF COURSE her tour is the best. Gaga is known in America for half a year, she has no money, that's why she plays in clubs and small venues.
Sales in the US:
Circus: 1.5 million, not even in the top 200;
The Fame: 1.4 million STILL in Top 20, so it will easily outsell Circus.
Singles
Womanizer: #1, 2.8 million
Circus: #3: 2 million
IUSA: #18: 1 million
Just Dance: #1 4 million
Poker Face: #1 4 million
LoveGame: #5 1.5 million
Same worldwide. 
And I wasn't even talking about commercial success. We all know Gaga is a better performer, singer, dancer, musician than Britney.

Oh HUSH up. If you know she is Britney Spears then don't try to compare them. Britney's tour IS a valid point. To cut that out is to cut out Gaga being known at all. Forget the single/album success since this is Gaga's debut. She deserves all she's achieved, so has Britney.
But NO. We all don't know the last sentence you made. Gaga isn't even a performer first of all. Her shows are based around her outfits and dancers. She is more known for her catchy songs and style. Nobody talks about about her performance skills, just what she was wearing and some crazy thing she did while performing. Britney's performances include her doing a lot of the work. Singer, that's all opinion. Dancer?  Shut up, please. Gaga is not a better dancer than Britney. **** 2007 VMAs. She simply is not. Her platform isn't even dancing. Musician, just as singer, is straight opinion.
I understand being a Gaga fanatic, but don't pull this again. It's embarrassing, really.

LOL says a Britney fan. Her whole Circus set is based on outfits, dancers and decorations, while Britney is just walking and occasionally shakes her ass. The funniest thing is that she doesn't even SING, so she's basically not doing anything.
