It is and that itself is dark. Britney has tons of dark songs that these people haven't even heard. Songs like Over To You Now, I Run Away, Rebellion, even Everytime in its sweetness is dark as hell but people think that only creepy-sounding songs are "dark" They can't see much far away from their noses.
