With the album allegedly coming in November, what release strategy will Adele's long anticipated follow up album be? Traditional release with a single announcement? Or a BEYONCE Style surprise digital drop?
I can imagine Adele doing the surprise release tactic (there have been rumours going around for MONTHS that she's going to 'do a Beyoncé', and she'd stand a chance of pulling in greater numbers than Bey, I think), but, in my opinion, it will be a bit of both:
A traditional release, but announced like a week before its due to be released or something like that.
Honestly traditional would be better for her. She also has a large older audience that don't immediately go out and buy albums as soon as they drop. They have to be at the store and casually see it or hear some announcement.
I want her to do a traditional, fairly hyped release just for the sake of witnessing her outselling our faves and they mommas so ruthlessly. Her first-week sales, woo lord.
But then again, waking up to a new Adele album she just farted on iTunes would be incredible too, so idrc. Whatever way she decides to release it, just do it soon.
