There are several black artists, that can do all that, and 10x better than Taylor Swift : - play multiple instruments, song writing and can sing their behinds off. They just don't have the right complexion for the protection and exposure .

And there are black artists that did none of that and still suceeded. For instance, when Rihanna first appeared into the scene, she:

1) Wasn't known for her vocals
2) Wasn't known for her dancing
3) Wasn't known for her writing talent
4) Wasn't known for playing any kind of instrument

And none of that stopped her from smashing. That doesn't mean she isn't talented, but let's cut out the bull****

Rihanna?!?! I was referring to the talented black artists that aren't afforded the same chances and privileges that comes naturally to Taylor Swift for simply being white. Despite her mediocrity. Black music artists have always had to work 10x hard, just to have the same exposure as their white counterparts. Plus Rihanna didn't come smashing right from the gate. Her first album underperformed, and her sophomore was forgettable . It wasn't until her 3rd album, she started getting some shine. So spare me the "i don't see racial inequality in music" rhetoric.

I guess it's subjective and depends on what type of vocals you think are impressive. I would agree with op and do in general prefer the sound of and think black people sing better. Most black singers I know sing soul and R&B which I think requires more impressive vocals than say a stereotypically white genre like rock. There are however singers like Ariana Adele Xtina Jessie J Celine who are very very capable.
