The trailer looks really amazing.
Like actual horror could happen there. Sally grew on me so much too.
The demon looks also nice, reminds me of that pans labyrynth movie.
It looks a bit too artifical tho, the guy in the 2nd promo looked more frightening.

In all honesty, it looks beautiful, but I'm still lost as to where the story will go, and whether or not it'll be a well-written story (Murder House/Asylum), or just look visually beautiful. (Coven/Freak Show)

We've seen a lot visually, but I really don't know much about the story, which is a good thing I guess, as it should be full or surprises. It just somewhat reminds me of Freak Show, but truthfully I can't say that because I wasn't following details of the show until Coven, I just watched prior.

The excitement in me, for Gaga alone is out of this world. But I see it going in order of quality

Asylum > Murder House > Coven > Hotel > Freak Show

I don't want to hype it, because I'm not so interested in those two girls that we saw, and her scream looked really badly acted, I was hoping for really emotional acting like Asylum and Murder House. But I hope those two girls are just in the opening and then get killed.

I would love for it to be on par with Asylum, and Murder House, and if it's as good as Coven then I'll be pleased. If it's another Freak Show, which feel it might be, judging by Ryan's past but hopefully he surprises me.

Also Gaga's new trailer, the song another odd choice, I found the character trailer to be an odd choice as well (which I ended up loving the song choice) but this one, I just don't real know about this one, and the fast flashes in this one hurt my eyes (it worked well in the character trailer, but here it was a little much). But Gaga looked stunning, and it had some really beautiful shots of her. Especially in the white dress with fur around her, in the pool area.

(This post sounds a little critical, but it isn't supposed to be, I've loved everything so far)

For those that dragged Gaga's acting in Machete Kills, that is exactly how I see her acting in Hotel. I know don't if her character will be raw and emotional like Sarah Paulson-esk characters in the past. I could honestly see her playing out like a Fiona Good, or Angela Basset in Coven. With a little comedy relief tbh, and a less serious backstory such as being a drug addict etc. Which will probably give her lots of hit gifs, but I honestly don't think it's going to deliver real heartfelt, Sister Jude Asylum finale redemption story, but I hope I'm wrong, because I really want to see Gaga be raw, and fade away into a character, but I think Ryan wrote something for her, something that matches a lot of similarities to Gaga's characteristics eg: loves art, fashion, avant-garde, glamours etc. I honestly want all of those characteristics in the countess, I want her to be glamours especially, but I also want to see a raw emotional side to her.

Gaga is not going to act like in Matchete Kills Gaga has studied her character for MONTHS, she has helped write the story of her character, it's all related to her as a person and artist, the people that work with Gaga like directors etc. are different and so on.

This is like how people said "Gaga can't sing The sound of music" and then she slayed, because she took 2 months to train her vocals etc. She is coming SERIOUSLY for that role, she said it herself, she is not even working on new music atm, she has focused on her role on AHS. And at the very least she won't have the same acting as Matchete, that character there is insanely different and Gaga probably didn't even have to learn script, because she had like 2 or 3 lines it's nothing like AHS

And I think she'll have a serious backstory, because didn't Ryan say something that in the middle of the season they'll go back in time for Gaga's story or something

Idk... I'm asking because I didn't know that, so I thought maybe I had missed something. I know she asked to play a villain + asked Ryan to do more explicit stuff (I think it was in that EW interview).

I was really hoping for emotional moments like this in Hotel. I haven't seen anything in that vein yet, but it hasn't aired, so I can't really say that. But addiction can be a really dark subject, depending on how it's executed, so if they explore that, the struggles of addiction, the lows, this season could be a great mixture.

And people arguing the episode count, and whether or not Gaga is the lead etc, she is a main character, but I definitely see this season being an ensemble, but with 8 episodes, she is going be one of, if not the biggest character this season. Along with Wes, Denis, Kathy and Sarah (maybe)

I actually liked her acting in Machete Kills, the way she said "there is 3 things I'd rather give you, and their all in the chamber of this gun." if she serves wittiness like that in Hotel, I will live. What I was saying is, I personally loved Lana Winters, and from the moment I saw Lana, when Asylum aired, especially toward the end of Asylum, when she becomes famous, and goes back to see her son in the school, I pictured Gaga in that role, for whatever reason. A strong ambitious woman, with a haunted past, and I wanted Gaga to be in AHS ever since that character, and I was hoping for an emotional character like that, with real struggles, of like abortion, being raped etc, but with her being a vampire (or whatever), her character is going to be larger then life, which I am also very excited about.

Also Fiona Good and Angela's character in Coven were some of my favorites, so I'm glad Gaga is playing the strong glamours woman-type, with witty lines, and great monologues.

Seeing her past may give flashbacks into more horrible times in her life, which is probably what I'm most excited about seeing from her character, if that is indeed true, I read that as well somewhere.

I lost track of what my point was, but I am extremely excited for Gaga's role, and it seems they've thought up the perfect character for Gaga's acting debut,
