X/O/X/O is right about some members in here tho.
Do you think that Emma could snatch an Emmy ( ) nomination, maybe? Her role will be outstanding for sure.

There's no way in Hell that the Emmys are gonna let Emma get even a nomination no matter how well she does. But I can hope. One review did say that she could win one from the pilot alone.

3-5 million. It will probably drop a bit but stay relatively consistent. There's so much promo it can't fail.

Not hate. I just don't think they respect her the way they respect other people you'd typically see a nom from.

Emma's played a bitchy brat in her entire filmography about as many times as Jessica Lange has played a crabby, smoking H.B.I.C. on AHS.

All much later in her career. I see. Emma still has time.
But my point was, you can't try to drag her for being typecasted when she still obliterates playing those characters.

She didn't get one for Madison, and Chanel is kinda Madison recycled, so no.
Plus, this in general seems like it stands no chance at an Emmy nom

Emma has been acting for 14 years now, sis. She's not getting Jessica-roles and recognition because she's not nearly as good an actress as Jessica It doesn't mean she's bad if she's not Jessica good, but.
Emma is doing her bitch routine again, but that's what she's by FAR best at at, so I'm good with her sticking to it. She broke away from it in Scream 4 and Freak Show and

And Jessica didn't get any big awards until nearly 2 decades into her career.
I'm not saying Emma's going to be the next Jessica; I don't expect that, nor do I see it as realistic, but y'all do way too much on Emma's acting. She's fantastic when the script is right. Watch Palo Alto or Adult World; those two are her best films, acting-wise.

Well, in my defense, she had great writing in Scream 4 and still completely blew it. Badly. I have heard good things about her in Palo Alto, though. And I've been pretty open about really liking her in Coven, and she looks like a lot of fun on Scream Queens as well. But her good performances don't change her Freak Show/Scream 4 acting. And you can't blame writing when a lot of people in both had way worse writing but gave way better performances Plus, bad writing is for when the performance can't overcome the writing, rather than the performance accentuating every single flaw and being bad in its own right.

I can't argue with any of this, really, but I also don't defend her acting in Freak Show; I couldn't care much about acting in Scream, because none of those films were something you search for acting in.
But Freak Show was a disaster, and not just for her. Evan was terrible, Gabourey Sidibe was terrible, Kathy's horrid accent and sub-par acting was a mess, Denis O'Hare was cringe-worthy, and even Jessica was wobbly at some points (but mostly because the writing was horribly unbelievable for some of the lines she had), and Finn was bad in his last 3 episodes-- also due to the writing turning him into a self-parody and his acting became less convincing. Only Frances Conroy and Sarah Paulson were consistently good; Angela was decent, great at times, but only decent overall.
