Well, it's not like I thought it would be, i.e. workshopping stories all day.
On my course, I've had to do a number of English modules alongside CW ones
Analysing books and writing essays ... which I'd actually hoped to get away from, post-college.
No exams, though, but this might not be the case at other uni's.
There's less freedom and creativity if you ask me, which is a real shame. Or maybe I'm just bad at it, lol.
Edit: Oh, and you have to do different kinds of writing - drama, poetry, short stories, etc. Some of them become optional and others remain mandatory, depending on the course though.
