yepp you are right.. at the time having one of the best selling albums ever in Europe, Australia, Asia and the US... really local. Afterall, Music Box in 1994 was only the 3rd biggest album released by a female artist in the decade... by 1999 it would get pushed down to #5... oh well.. what a flop. #local. Only 17m copies sold outside the US.. look at the current pop galz.. 17m albums sold outside the US with one album release? hell they dont need sales to be popular worldwide. they got youtube. thumbs up, me likey.

i think we should judge global success by the amount of hair colours our favs have tried.. that seems logic as well. or even better sex tapes and ex-boyfriends.. aint nobody got time for sales.. pfff.

no, the kids of today never had the chance to buy an album without knowing its content and realising all songs are great... that doesnt happen anymore in the pop genre..

only alt/rock albums and genre R&B can surprise us these days.

Ah, correct. LOL. So even longer before she found major success (Evita, perhaps, 1997), but even then, I wonder if a lot of this was due to her conversion to Kabbalah.
