Probably Mariah, she was queen bitch of the 90s. Madonna stans would be the Lambs enemy and they'd be getting into stan wars all the time, with the Lambs mocking Erotica's flop mercilessly. Whitney would be like Adele is on here now, massively successful yet not that many actual stans.
Honestly, I'd probably stan Janet back in '94 due to the double punch of Rhythm Nation 1814 and janet. But Mariah would be coming to officially snatch my wig with Daydream and Butterfly in the next few years tho
Madonna - Monsters/Army combined into one tbh. The biggest/most obnoxious imaginable female pop stan base ever.
Whitney - Hive next largest base with super defensive and aggressive stans.
Mariah - Navy
Janet - Kats
Celine - Swifties
Toni - C-Squad
Kylie - Lana stans
The ebb and flow of the daily stan wars would be like this:
-Madonna stans versus Janet stans and with Madge having her Fame/Fame Monster-Born This Way eras with her first few and then Madonna/Janet having an ARTPOP vs. Prism era with the janet./Erotica eras colliding.
-Whitney stans versus Mariah stans with Whitney being already established and big and constantly being compared to a newer "similar" artist that's releasing yearly and getting #1 after #1 and having consistent success yet never having a peak era as big -- overall similar to the Navy/Hive dynamic. Mariah stans also having sidebar wars with the Madonna stans, but never the main focus (kinda like Navy/Monsters).
-Celine stans having massive numbers yet always kinda being on the fringe starting out pretty major with a niche market (Celine's French/Francophone domination to Taylor's Country) and Falling Into You would be her 1989 era with her stans growing louder/more aggressive (with lots of bandwagoners leading the trend).
-Toni stans would be like the C-Squad...artist never as big as the main artists on the forum, with a small but loyal and highly aggressive fan base.
-Kylie's would I imagine be the equivalent of the Lana stans...big in Europe but not much of a factor in the US; staying at it with the Madonna stans (like the Monsters/Lana stans currently).
Some things wouldn't fit exactly, but I imagine that's how the overall vibe of the forum would be and whose stans would fit what roles.
