It's actually insulting to compare them, BOMT is the 2nd most iconic video of all times in pop culture. SL is not on those levels since it was extremely local and a parody online hit.

SL only competes with Toxic that was Britney's 3rd biggest hit.

We aren't comparing other songs. We're comparing the two songs as they were released on Vevo during the same exact most.

I don't know where the Army get the idea that Single Ladies video isn't massive. I can see BOMT beating out Crazy in Love but Single Ladies is a whole nother beast and released in the prime of the video/youtube era.

Nope bc Both of these songs came out before streaming was a huge factor in the industry, so this proves that people remember Single Ladies & it's video more than BOMT & it's video + Song. Whoops. They're on an even playing field with this one.

BOMT was released almost 10 years before SL, long before Youtube became popular and way long before Spotify became popular. So IMO using Youtube and Spotify to compare them isn't fair.
