I get frustrated that she seems to get sidetracked by other projects but I think that equates to her taking on too much at once and to me that's a testament to how hard she DOES work, just wish she would finish the album first before she gives her attention to other projects. I've questioned her priorities but I've never questioned her work ethic.

Still this doesn't automatically make her "one of the hardest working." It may be a bitter pill to swallow but it is what is is. Taking on a million things at once doesn't mean you're giving your all to all of those things. Especially when all of those things are not exactly the most difficult projects to handle -- I mean, no shade but what is the earth-shattering work that she's putting into a sock line, for example? It's not like she's processing the material and putting together each sock by hand.
And honestly the exhaustion thing is more of a testament to poor planning/not understanding your body very well. Many of the most successful entrepreneurs/businessmen in the world, who work to a level Rihanna (or any other pop star really) never wiill, have never been hospitalized for exhaustion, simply because they know how to take care of themselves.

Hmm, you have a point. But most of the time the outcome of her music related works seem rushed, unfinished, half-assed lately. Especially her live performances because I see no hard work in her concerts. Maybe that's because she works on so many extra things at the same time instead of focusing on one particular thing. She wouldn't be so overwhelmed if her schedule was more organised.

It's ironic because this is why many people wanted her to take a break. People used to think her live performances could be better and that it would be good for her to take a break and take vocal/dance lessons and (learn to) write more songs on her own etc instead of rushing to meet album deadlines per the usual.
