District 9 is awesome. Well deserved especially for a low budget movie. This director has a great future if this is a sign of things to come from him.

"District 9" dominates, "Bandslam" & "The Goods" bomb hard!!
Vanessa Hudgen's film "Bandslam" is flopping
Footage of Vanessa Hudgens being rudely called out TCA 09'
Vanessa Hudgens embarrassed publically at Teen Choice Awards

I wouldn't say District 9 is amazing, but it was good. Maybe I need to see it again for a better opinion on it.
It reminded me of Battlestar Galactica a lot. It also had that Cloverfield feel to it, with the camera usage. The ending of the movie was really great, but they didn't do a great job at the introduction to the aliens. Within the first minute of the film, they are already showing Aliens among the Humans which is just...stupid
