Gurl, it ain't that serious. You probably think all of Brooklyn is a place you don't want to go at night Obviously places in Manhattan will be expensive, but if you stay somewhere in Brooklyn that's close to one of the main subway lines (which you'll be forced to use to get around anyway) then you'll be fine. I mean, try not to stay in Bed Stuy or something but Sunset Park, ****r Heights, etc. are perfectly fine, if just a bit far from Manhattan. It's worth it if you want to save $$$ on lodgings!
