some of you guys are focusing too much on numbers. why do you care about her not promoting her music when you're going to be getting a new performance everyday?
be grateful that you've even gotten any new music since 2007 (4 albums, 3 were excellent)

I think she doesn't belong in vegas
I think she should promote her music and be successful

And you're allowed to think that but being mad that she's a "vegas act" and about albums sales are concerns of people who are pressed they can and will no longer be able to brag.

I want her to be successful. I don't want my fave to be a vegas act. I want her to be loved and appreciated by the public because news flash here, she is a public figure or is at least supposed to be. So yea, I do care if she stays chained to vegas and the only access I'll have with is 4k videos on vine and instagram. I will care if her music keeps flopping because I want my faves songs to be successful. What is the big mystery here

Yep. Extension is a great marketing move. Cancellation or completing the contract isn't. Extension shows demand and success.

She's done quite a bit of recording in the summer and will probably do more recording this month and next. Hopefully January could be used for
a) superbowl rehearsals
b) finalizing recording

If she doesn't have 1 or 2 hit singles prior...yes but I really don't think they will allow Britney to have a bionic and lotus era knowing how that turned out.
Her team wants the cash cow to remain getting coins.
They will probably aim for a tour after the residency and use the success of the residency as the excuse.

During Britney's off time JLO will take over. JLO is only doing shows from Jan-June as of now.
She does her shows in late January. Britney will do it mid February.
They'll trade off in each other's breaks.
It is a win win for PH if JLO can be a success...IF as they will have their first 6 months filled.

I really can't believe any rumor of the Superbowl. It's NOT going to happen.
I don't hope Vegas to flop, specially because she's actually been improving performance-wise, which is good. But I can't bear my fave being a theater-Vegas-act, it's not even Caesar's Palace, it's f-Planet Hollywood.
Plus, all Vegas acts are flops now a days, except maybe Celine who is still capable of moving some albums. All the others are has-beens, even though they've somehow/somewhat cemented their places in pop music/culture.
If bitch wants to put out another album while in this ridiculous Vegas-extension, she better do a decent album, I really can't put up with another Britney Jean, I mean, this is her only album that has no replay value to me, even BOMT does so. I'd like her to have at least a FF-sized success, low album sales but decent-sized hits and even some critical acclaim.
Well, one thing this made me happy is that I may try to make a West Coast trip in the following two years and, perhaps, include this concert in my route.

Rather easily with the right music and a better image. Everything about FF sans TTWE was incredibly frontloaded. She may never have those massive debuts again but she could very easily have better longevity with more cohesive videos, stronger promotional performances and a better image.
It's part of why I want Max Martin and Joseph Kahn for her lead single. Taylor needs to stop plagiarizing and find her own team, imo.
