But CIL ain't more remembered no matter how many streams and were it is on iTunes don't mean anything! and for one the song was used in a huge movie so that gave it a boost! Also the songs from 1998 5 years behind CIL and its not even that far behind in streams etc and BOMT absolutely slays CIL in sales so more people actually bought the record.
CIL ain't even iconic its just a big r'nb song from the 00's on par with songs like maneater and holla back girl etc but its a big well known hit.
BOMT is above and beyond that the video alone is more iconic then Beyonce entire videos combined.
Thats why Britneys debut sold more in the US alone that what any Beyonce album has ever sold globally BOMT was a phenomenon hence why it helped her shift nearly 30 million albums of her debut alone. Why didn't CIL have impact like that?

I swear when BOMT dropped it was insane the song was everywhere and I mean everywhere right through till the millennium every girl wanted to be her every guy wanted to date her! I remember hearing the song and thought wow this is so f#cking hot and then I saw the video and was dam this girl is so sexy the whole thing had mass appeal it instantly catapulted her into a megastar and a global sex symbol she made history and was the blue print for all teen pop girls.
Beyonce CIL when it dropped didn't catch on straight away tbh even though I loved it but it became more of a club classic then a phenomenon. It's impact was not even on Britney's level at all.
Then why is the 3rd mos stremedt female artist of all time and the most streamed female from her generation?
These are facts, dear.
I didn't mean that as shade, I meant because people are generally more interested in her albums as a whole. Typical overly defensive Hive member I guess.
Baby one more time number 1 in 22 countries! Over10 million sold worldwide this was before streams and the digital age.
In fact baby one more time topped every national chart globally so yea its a FULLY ROUNDED bigger and more successful record.
Crazy in love can have all the streams and catalogue sales in the world its never gonna be more successful not in this day and age.

That's not true. I only hit #1 in every country it charted in only in Europe.

How was it not? Mess @you using little snarky remarks to dismiss something, then feigning innocence and accusing people of being too defensive after getting a two sentence response you can't challenge. Numbers don't lie and Bey's music is remembered no matter how many smart alecky remarks you make. Have a nice day!
