Yes i said it and i'm not saying this to drag at all but she is at a weird time in her career in terms of performances right now. We all know she can kill anyone onstage, talent is not the problem but her MATERIAL is getting REALLY repetitive to the point of it being insulting. This was a Festival. Why couldn't she take some songs she never performed live and add them to the setlist? Some songs on her albums deserve to be performed and she NEVER does yet give us DC songs? i'm sorry but no. When i saw Survivor and Say my name on the setlist, i almost stopped watching. I'm sorry but this is not cute anymore when you ignore some of your best songs. ''That's why you're beautiful'' would be so dope live on a festival stage. Why ignore it? and the songs has such a beautiful message. I will also repeat that many songs on Self titled dont translate well live. It was a visual album so the songs reflect that but for the majority, they are not as exciting live. Flawless with the feminism message is tired. Run the world, i cant take it anymore. Crazy in love is a fan favorite but why couldn't she perform the entire Remix instead of a few lines and then go into the same tired routine?
All the rehearsing i hear her do before a performance and in the end, we get a show that is so familiar to the last one, i dont get it. Even the dancers must be bored.
I get that Beyonce is probably at a time in her life when she prefers being with her husband and child rather than the public but dont play your audience like that.
I must add: She focuses WAY too much on production, the big screen than her actual performance now. The way she stands, the background, everything is way too robotic and less natural. Do you guys remember when Beyonce would just adlibs live without any special posture or big production? go watch the DC live in Atlanta show and again and tell me where is this Bey? I just want her to let loose in a Festival, rocking it without the big production, ten costumes. One kick ass outfit, one mic, and great vocals. Period.

errrrrr... ya the MIA is definitely what an artist does when she is getting lazy.... ya. with all those new breakdowns and choreography sections?
I think you mean to say, you don't like the setlist, which is fine. But she's not lazy for choosing songs you don't want to see performed. It's a festival, meaning it's not necessarily her diehard fans in attendance but a larger audience for whom it makes sense to perform the bigger known hits, or the songs that she is most identified with / wants to be identified with.
I love that she generally kept it upbeat with only a few ballads. That's Why You're Beautiful would not have worked.
I would have loved to see some covers though, because she always slays them, but I think she slayed overall.
