Well, that's because I did list a reason:
It's one of the most watched videos on YouTube, as well as most played on MTV and Vh1.
Womanizer solidified Britney's comeback for sure, but I'm simply giving an opinion based on logic.
Poker Face was alright; nothing special.
We Made You was a great video, but won't be outdoned by Britney, Beyoncé, or even Gaga.
It's a mystery how Love Lockdown even made it on the tab of "Video of the Year".
However, the dance for Single Ladies is primarily a female-based routine. You definitely can't expect it to be done universally. That, being said, observe just how popular it has become.

As far as I think being the most watched/played video means
nothing - well, Avril's Girlfriend is the most played video ever on YouTube

- I get your point. Although I think the female-based routine kinda contradicts your previous posts of SL being so universal - And come on, we all know it didn't mean a thing since we've seen male celebrities doing the dance routine - All parodies, but still, they did it... Not to mention that, like Britney and GaGa, Beyoncé´s fanbase definitely consists more of women than men anywayz.
I do agree that We Made You and Lock Lockdown don't deserve to win at all, MTV should have chosen other videos by Eminem and Kanye if they wanted to kiss their asses.
However, I disagree about Poker Face, I think it's a pretty good video, even if I prefer LoveGame, and well, it all comes down to the fact that we can't deny PF is the biggest hit out of all the nominees, both worldwide and in the US - Please, I'm not talking only about weeks at #1 on the Hot 100, ok? - and MTV is known for awarding the biggest hit. On the other hand, both Womanizer and Single Ladies got more praise from celebrities; Many singers covered Britney's song, while many others danced Beyoncé's routine.
I personally think Womanizer is more of a impressive video, but Single Ladies is very effective on its simplicity. In the end, it will come down to opinions, cause we are voting, and I like to believe MTV doesn't cheat.
LOL, sorry for the essay, ya'll.
