Yes but only certain things that were "controversial" stuck.
i.e. lip synching, breast implants,, virginity, lolita sex symbol.
That one clip of her being drunk tipsy out in a club in 1999/00 wasn't something that would take down her image.
Her releasing slave for you was not deemed racist there was even a statement saying that they didn't take offense because they didn't believe she did it to be offensive but just wished she'd be more sensitive to the subject matter and it was done.
