The only time Carly has used any sort of vocal inflection is when she yells at the end of the chorus of Run Away With Me, not coincidental that it's her best work. Literally every other song is a monotone vocal backed by synth flairs. I haven't heard ANY relateable emotion from her, ironically.

This is just false, wtf. Have you listened to Emotion beyond the singles at all? Most of the songs on the album have far more emotional range than Run Away With Me. Your Type, Making the Most of the Night, and All That come to mind immediately. They're all practically pleading and bleed longing.

Jess Glynne flat? Real Love ring a bell? Also she takes her inspiration from house music, so most of the time the tracks call for it but she's perfectly capable of emoting. Take Me Home is A+

Real Love and Rather Be are the only two songs she's been involved in that have been remotely decent, presumably because she's essentially just another for-hire featured vocalist, and that's all she's supposed to be. Solo, in the role of wannabe pop star, all her weaknesses are laid painfully bare.

No he's literally twink bait. If you want FLAT vocals, you'll get them there.
