Guys from the west you need to realise the countries in mid/ eastern Europe are still building their own countries post communist era. Some countries (like Poland and Slovenia) do better then others (Romania, Bulgaria thanks to corruption mainly).
But there are still big trust issues passed down generation to generation which makes them self centered cause they feel like they really need to protect their own nest. Anything from outside the borders is seen as a threat unless proven otherwise which is a continious cycle if you start with not wanting anyone coming to interfere with your country in the first place. It is slowly changing, at least in Poland, can't speak for the other countries, but we not even 3 decades into democracy and such big issues require time.

This! The West needs to take another look at Eastern European history and they'll realize why we are all so afraid of the migration. If they were filling out applications and waiting in Turkey until they get accepted and then coming, Europe would have no problem with them. But most of Hungarian history is other countries forcing themselves onto us and then staying here. We're raised to be in fear of other countries, and it's not helping that the migrants don't care what the police tell them, throwing water at them, demanding things, cutting through fences instead of going to the areas where they would be allowed to pass with police supervision.

That is very true. I'm half Canadian and have only been living in Hungary for a couple years, but I noticed right away that people are a lot more racist, but then I learned about it's history and I can somewhat understand now how everything is rooted in fear.
