The commercial outcome is one thing that is not important to me in a big way. It does not affect me personally or my listening experience.

We can never blame Lana for literally whoring her music out promoting it everywhere, having video premieres on national tv and being driven in with a caddillac and still not motivate a huge number of people to buy her music. Not that would sum up a disaster.

I mean, I get it Lana. You ain't desperate and after BTD you are set for life and you just wanna release. But the way how little effort is put in to make an album release exciting for her listeners and so little vision for it, I mean that is disappointing.

This is all true, I feel the same way. It's very frustrating because I love her music and it's sad, as a fan, to see her so out of touch with her material. I don't think this era will last more than two months because I don't see her releasing videos after the release. That just sucks for the fans, we have nothing to discuss. We are probably gonna love the record because it will be great like everything she does - but the whole thing will have a ''forgotten'' feeling surrounding it.

I don't even mind not having anything to discuss. It's the fact that she is a genius with her visuals, she has so much to offer and its just a waste when the album dies after it's release.

Yeah, I mean, I have seen alternative acts like Nine Inch Nails, Tori Amos or Marilyn Manson teasing and gettin their fans excited and rilled up more than she does since her debut. And they were still doing it after more than a decade into their careers.

And you can not call these people desperate popstar sell-outs, Manson may be debateable, but not Reznor or Amos.

See I don't really care about commercial success. That's mainly because I don't in any way put her along with the 'pop girls'. Also less commercial success means that there's less ties to labels imposing any traditional formats and so she's free to do whatever the **** she wants musically. I'm here for Lana because I love her vision and I love what she does musically. So I don't need to see her performing at ever talk show and stop, I just need her to release the album that I'll be playing all year long. If she debuts with 1 million or 1 single sale I couldn't care less, and I'm thrilled she doesn't give a **** either. Money and charts are the death of each and every artist.

Also now I'm sat listening to the Honeymoon tracks I realise why they sound so different to me from everything she's done. It's truly the most 'cinematic' she's gone yet. Every track sounds like it's part of a 'score' and kind of work into eachother. While before it was more so just as an influence you'd hear, here it's the overriding theme. It too me a while but I've finally connected.

It makes me laugh how some Lana stans are still so hung up on commercial success. It seems quite obvious to everyone else that she's not concerned with that. If you want an artist who cares about sales, go stan for Gaga or Taylor, & stop bringing it up like anyone else cares as much as you. It's ****ing boring.

I mean, there's nothing wrong with wanting her to be successful. I'm much more concerned with the artistry and quality of the album, but I'd like it to sell well also.
