Italians are also awful at English. The more beautiful the native language, the less reason the people have to learn another. That's why all Dutch people speak English.
I'm from Spain & I lived there in my young years, but we (they) are not just bad @ English. They are lazy, they never want to watch Movies/TV series in English with subtitles, they want the damn audio translated to Spanish.

Latin countries in general all dub their TV shows. I think only Dutch and Scandinavians like watching movies with subtitles.

Most Spanish people don't speak English and the ones that do have the worst pronunciation They actually pronounce words as how they sound in Spanish
Right? I used to watch videos on YouTube and omg their pronunciation. You right is because Spain has everything translate, I remember as a kid playing Pokemon in English while Spain kids were playing in Spanish same with TV shows

Europe in general (except for The Netherlands)/US are the same when it comes to subtitles though, all of them watch translated dubs and refuse to watch the original with subtitles
