Miley changes ever so often and just because the production of her music is different doesn't mean anything. Her lyrics at the end of the day have always been about the same thing with the same meaning even on her new album she has songs similar to her older music that's when you know who you are

Mileys change, however, does not feel as forced as Taylors. At the end of the day, Mileys new her in her music very much represents who she is today. It doesnt feel forced.
