It IS a term of endearment towards younger people/generations. Obviously older people are more sensitive toward the word considering during their times it was used more negatively and with horrible things that came along with it.

Yes. If stating the fact that white people shouldn't really have a say or opinion on whether black people choose to use or not use the n-word, and therefore it is irrelevant is racial segregation. Then sure.

it's like cursing...you can use it around your friends but that doesn't make it good...they are still considered bad words at the end of the day (hence why ppl who curse around their parents are said to have no respect for them)
