General question for Lana fans:
I think that the brilliant part about Lana is that she's playing a character. She channels the Hollywood starlet and nails the sugar daddy-loving affectations. It's all fabulous, Nabokov-American and tongue-in-cheek, a style that peaks with her crooning "my ***** tastes like Pepsi Cola."
Is this generally accepted by her fans though? It seems like so many Lana fans take her songs 100% seriously and don't acknowledge the humor and acting that goes into them. Like, some people take BTD 100% at face value and I have to laugh. I have no doubt Lana relates to her character, but I think BTD is very much like The Fame: poking fun at and embracing a character/role at the same time.

I just love the music, the imagery, I don't really think much about it. To me it's what art should be. That's probably why GaGa and Lana are my 2 most faves.

I think it comes with the territory and depends on the age of the listeners and how literal they want to take the songs. I think most of what you have posted above is absolutely correct for Born To Die and Paradise, but with UV she has outgrown it. The way how she portrays the men on UV is different than on BTD. They are not bad in a fashionable way. Instead they are old, ugly, violent and quite frankly, pretty pathetic.

But I think Honeymoon is more likely to be an album of Dayglo Reflections and CWYCMAs

I adore Lana's solo verison of Dayglo Reflection, I'd be super happy if we got some songs with a similar vibe on HM. The title track and TLY kind of do sound similar to it already.

The fact that we are 18 days away and it seems like we have nothing, cause of her not wanting to promote, or show herself

Sorry, I just realized it's just an edit of the original song that repeats some of Lanas verses
I never expected Lana to do any more than this though.. Promo singles are likely all we are going to get from her

Well, here's the thing: I think we as devoted fans got used to it the hard way since UV, or even a while before that.
However, you can sit at home and write great songs, but when you show minimal effort to showcase your material, chances are rather low you will get heard. I will get great music (most likely, you can't be sure about anything), she will go back writing a new album, but I think as fans we really would be happy to see her more often. She made her choices. I respect that.
The Beats 1 interview felt like it was ages I heard her talk and I love her speaking voice.
Her turning back her shoulder to the media is compared to other major label artists now, almost a Kate Bush situation.

Her not wanting media on her tour and ****. I guess its weird because she does things with the media, she just doesnt like criticism for her work
