Carly Rae Jepsen's album is not anywhere near the acclaim of FKA twigs. She's "matching The Fame Monster's score" (not that good) and can't break 80. Unremarkable. Critics don't always get it right, anyway - although I do think the album deserves praise to some extent.

The video has been out for awhile now, they released it for some YouTube Awards thing.

The singles she released (Two Weeks, Pendulum) were easily accessible for the usual listener. I don't expect her EPs to do anything (they're much harder to get into after all) but at least the singles could've crossed the borders of tumblr circle-jerks with a fling for alt music for at least once. Doesn't affect my love for her, regardless.

She was high 80's for a while until the moderate reviews started coming in. A 78 average is really, really good for a ~mainstream~ pure pop record.

This is by far the best song on the album. Make sure to listen to the Deluxe, it gets much better towards the end.
